Svineinfluensa Vaksinasjon

Notater:

Vaccination is an important aspect of influenza prevention. To be effective, the vaccine needs to be matched to the circulating strain(s). Given the annual variability of the influenza virus (antigenic drift), the antigenic make-up of the vaccine is reviewed by the WHO each year on the basis of which viruses are predicted to be circulating during the following influenza season. This information is based to vaccine manufacturers, and the antigenic make-up of the vaccine modified accordingly.1
